BEAUMONT, Texas — Kendrian Perkins entered a guilty plea rather than go to trial Monday, receiving 55-year sentences for each of two murder charges in a plea agreement. The sentences will run concurrently.
Perkins, 26, was charged in the deaths of Isaiah Wagner and Felton Jones in separate incidents in January 2022.
Wagner, 31, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds on Jan. 30, 2022, at the Beaumont Heights Apartment Complex at 6550 Phelan Blvd. Police responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 11:57 p.m.
During the investigation, police determined Wagner had been the victim of an aggravated assault on Jan. 24, 2022, in the 2100 block of Grand Street. More than 45 rounds were fired at Wagner and his vehicle during that incident.
