Freda L. Baxter, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the age of 100. Freda was born on Oct. 7, 1924, in Irondequoit, to the late Ada Downing Rockefeller and John Rockefeller.

Freda lived a full and vibrant life, finding joy in the simple pleasures of reading, arts and crafts, and traveling. She was particularly adventurous, taking to the skies in a hot air balloon at the age of 75, and later, in her 80s, going parasailing with her sister. Her zest for life was matched by her love for her family, with whom she treasured spending time. Freda worked as a cashier at Star Market in Brockport.
