The Georgia High School Association Reclassification Committee met Wednesday where it discussed a proposal for a competitive-balance approach to reclassification. Thirteen people voting for shutting down reclassification talks until 2026 and five voted for the continuation of the reclassification discussion this summer.
Since the GHSA voted to stop discussing reclassification until next year, the Class 3A-A private playoff division will remain in effect until at least 2028, pending final approval this fall.
