FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN) – Wake County is offering free HIV testing for residents starting next week.
This is all a part of recognition for National HIV Testing Day on June 27, with Wake County Public Health hosting free testing events throughout the month.
“Knowing your HIV status is a powerful step in protecting your health and the health of others,” said Wake County Board of Commissioners Vice Chair Don Mial. “These events make it easy and free for people to get tested and connect with the care they need.”
All testing will take place aboard "Wake Wheels for Health," the new county's new minibus designed to bring service directly to the community.
People can also talk with health educators about prevention and care options.
The first one kicks off on Monday at the Southern Regiona
