(WJET/WFXP) – A man was arrested after police allegedly found over 150 grams of cocaine in his New York apartment.

On Thursday, June 5, narcotics investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and the Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant at a Dunkirk, New York, residence.

Upon arriving, police found 38-year-old Daniel Melendez living inside the apartment.

According to police, 151.42 grams of cocaine, scales and packaging material, a loaded 9mm handgun and two high-capacity magazines were found inside the home.

Melendez is facing two charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, two charges of criminal possession of a weapon and one charge of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
