Locally headquartered solar energy producer Silicon Ranch is making a significant investment in a Canadian tech company focused on robotic mowing and land management.
Silicon Ranch officials announced in a June 3 press release that they would invest $3 million in Ontario-based Swap Robotics, a company that produces electric, autonomous mowing robots for solar utility scale services.
This follows the solar array company’s previous investments into Swap Robotics. In 2023, Silicon Ranch participated in a $7 million investment round led by SOLV Energy and a $3 million investment from Array Technologies in 2024.
In addition to the investment, Silicon Ranch co-founder and CEO Reagan Farr will join Swap Robotics’ board of directors.
