A question from a new member of the Development Authority of Coweta County set off a lengthy discussion of how the county’s two development authority boards came about and how they operate.

The Coweta County Development Authority has five members – John Daviston, Rob Brass, Makisha Strickland, Andelson Merisca and Michael Terrell. It’s a Constitutional authority.

The DACC has seven members – John Daviston, Rob Brass, Makisha Strickland, Norm Lundin, Randy Cardoza, Joe Griffith and now Dennis McEntire. It’s a statutory board.

“Y’all are unique in that (you’re) one of the few counties that still has both,” said attorney Nathan Lee.
