UPDATE: Both bears now appear to have left the W Veneto Circle and Camina Drive neighborhood and moved into nearby fields and orchards. Residents are still urged to remain alert while walking or driving in the area.
MEDFORD Ore. — North Medford residents were excited to see a mother bear and her cub in the area earlier this week, but the Medford Police Department (MPD) issued a warning, reminding residents that they could be dangerous.
In an update last night, MPD indicated that both bears had left the subdivision on W Veneto Circle & Camina Driveve and moved into the adjoining fields and orchard after coming out from their hiding place in the bushes.
The mother bear seems to have left, but her cub is still close by in the trees.
Officers are monitoring the bears but- for your own safe
