CHARLOTTE, NC – An investigation is underway after motel workers found a woman and a baby dead inside a motel in north Charlotte on Friday.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called around noon to the Baymont by Wyndham on Equipment Drive off West Sugar Creek Road and I-85.

There is no word how the woman and baby died. Police say they do not suspect any criminal activity.
