FLINT - The first year stepping into a program for a coach can be chaotic at times, especially when understanding which athletes fit where and getting to know each of them individually.

Owosso girls track and field head coach Noah Jacobs took over the job this season and led the Trojans to a tie for second place in the Flint Metro League Stars Division this season.

What Jacobs didn’t have to concern himself too much with is who was going to handle the hurdles, for junior Gabrielle Hufnagel had it covered.
