The family of an 8-year-old boy killed in a DWI crash on the White Horse Pike in Absecon nearly two years ago says Tropicana Atlantic City allegedly hid evidence that showed the man responsible for the crash was overserved at one of its nightclubs, according to court documents.
Edward Johnston, 26, was sentenced to 15 years in prison last month for aggravated manslaughter in the death of Javier Velez, of Philadelphia.
Johnston, Tropicana and the Ducktown Tavern are named in the amended complaint filed Thursday by attorney Michael van der Veen.
