ATLANTA — Just a day after the Atlanta Braves gave up a six-run lead to the Arizona Diamondbacks, they're looking to make a change.

They've elected to bring up one of their best closers in history to help the team out in one of Atlanta's lowest moments. On Friday, the Braves called up Craig Kimbrel to join their bullpen.

Kimbrel has been in the Braves' minor league system since the start of the season, making appearances for both the Columbus Clingstones and the Gwinnett Stripers. Through 18 innings pitched, he's put up 23 strikeouts and has only allowed six runs, giving him an earned run average of 2.00. He's also picked up three saves during that time.
