BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- Drake Park will be filled with rainbows, booths, and pride for Bend's annual Pride event . Parties and events will be held all weekend long, beginning Friday night.

It comes as uncertainty over safety at public events surfaced, with many events being cancelled, including Bend's annual Juneteenth celebration (though another Juneteenth communitgy event is now set for June 20th) and events organized by the Latino Community Association.

Bend Pride experienced its worries last year after a rainbow-painted crosswalk near Drake Park was vandalized and ultimately removed.

Isabella Warren is speaking with Bend Pride and SUS to learn about the weekend's festivities and what Pride means to Central Oregon. Her report is coming up tonight on KTVZ News at 5.
