No injuries were reported after a residence known for drug activity was shot at early Friday morning in St. Catharines.

Niagara Regional Police said they were called to the intersection of Niagara and Church Streets at 2:08 a.m. for a report of shots fired.

Police arrived a minute later and determined the target of the shooting was a residence known “in the drug subculture.”

The NRP forensic services unit was processing the scene Friday morning.

Police said in a news release they had no information on a suspect but were working to identify the person or persons involved.

Police believe the shooting was a targeted incident and said there is “no ongoing risk to public safety.”
