PONTIAC, MI - A mass shooting has been prevented at a high school graduation in Metro Detroit, and one suspect remains on the loose.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says it has made one arrest as it searches for 20-year-old Jamarion Jaryante Hardiman.

It all started on the evening of Tuesday, June 3 during the graduation ceremony for The Arts and Technology Academy in Pontiac. The ceremony took place at United Wholesale Mortgage.

According to a statement on Facebook from the charter school, some friends and relatives of those at the ceremony were looking to retaliate against some in attendance.
