WYOMING, MI – A shuttered Walgreens on 28th Street across from the popular Beltline Bar restaurant is being turned into a supermarket where customers can shop for fresh produce, meats and baked goods.
A new Rodriguez Supermarket is being built at 2829 Division Ave. S in Wyoming, city records show. The store’s owners have not yet announced plans for the new location, but the city of Wyoming approved the site plans for the project in October 2024.
The former Walgreens closed in November 2023 and ECA Properties, LLC, which owns Rodriguez Supermarket, purchased the building last summer for $3.6 million, city property records show.
Construction crews are currently renovating the 13,796-square-foot building and adding on a 3,862-square-foot addition on the back that will include a meat depart
