AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Fire Department is responding to a "Light Box alarm" in northeast Austin, following a report of cardboard and pallets that were on fire, the agency said on social media Friday.
AFD refers to "light box" calls for fires that may not rise to the standard for the alarm-level response, KXAN reported in 2022.
Around 1:50 p.m. crews responded to 9807 Brown Lane "with a large amount of pallets and trash on fire," according to AFD.
"Please avoid this area due to a number of supply hose for water supply has been laid around the area to support fire suppression," the agency said.
