Ryan Blaney loves racing at Michigan International Speedway.

The two-mile superspeed is considered NASCAR’s fastest track, a place Blaney – the 2023 Cup series champion – has had success on, winning in 2021.

Blaney told The Detroit News on Wednesday that he had just landed in Detroit and was looking forward to being in Ford’s backyard — and his owner Roger Penske’s backyard as well — during MIS weekend.

Blaney and Team Penske teammates Joey Logano and Austin Cindric will be running in Sunday’s Firekeepers 400. Practice is set for Saturday morning with qualifying Saturday afternoon to make up the field.
