FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - As wildfires continue to rage in Canada , the impacts are being felt hundreds of miles away in Northern Indiana.
Smoke from the fires made it from 60,000 feet in the air down to the surface, thanks to natural processes like sinking and mixing air.
But recently, the amount of smoke in the air has reached a level prompting the Indiana Department of Environmental Management to issue Air Quality Action Days for Friday and Saturday. Doctors are warning of the risks posed by the smoke.
