COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M softball utility fielder Amari Harper has entered the transfer portal, according to a source with access to the online database.
In three seasons with the Aggies, Harper slashed .364/.471/.512 with nine home runs and 51 RBIs. Her junior season was a power surge with eight of her home runs coming last season. Harper closed out the season on a 9-for-14 clip with 17 RBIs and three homers.
More importantly, Harper was a big clubhouse presence, head coach Trisha Ford said during the Bryan-College Station Regional.
“Amari has really been the glue of our program,” Ford said. “We’ve been able to make a lot of changes with our team, because of Amari’s unselfishness, but also her ability to play a multitude of positions. She’s just tremendous.”
