AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Communities are coming together to call for an end to violence.

Friday, in Waynesboro, mayors, children, judges, lawyers and pastors are all wearing orange to raise awareness of teen violence at city hall, as summer usually means incidents of violence among young people go up.

Coming up in the 5 p.m. hour, the community in Augusta will come together to call for an end to gun violence while wearing orange at the Jessye Norman Amphitheater and plaza. “Moms Demand Action” and “Georgia Shift” are hosting.

Name released for person found buried under 15th Street bridge

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the person’s body who was found in a shallow grave near the 15th Street bridge near Riverwatch Parkway.
