BRAINERD — New principals will be in place in three buildings at Brainerd Public Schools next year.

Brainerd High School Principal Andrea Rusk and Forestview Principal Jon Anderson resigned their posts. Tammy Stellmach, who has served as principal at Baxter Elementary School for the past seven years, will take over the middle school position, creating a vacancy in Baxter.

The move to Forestview is a return to the middle school world for Stellmach, who previously spent 11 years as the school’s assistant principal before working at Riverside and Baxter elementary schools.

A middle school classroom teacher for 15 years, Stellmach said she readily accepted the offer to move back up to the middle school level.
