Five people are facing nearly 50 combined charges after a lengthy Stratford Police Service investigation led to the seizure of more than $100,000 in suspected drugs, multiple firearms and more than $5,000 in cash.
Stratford police announced Friday the investigation started last year when its street crime unit launched an investigation into the trafficking of controlled substances into the city from surrounding municipalities. Earlier this year, the street crime unit partnered with the Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario to launch what they dubbed Project Weston.
