FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — On two separate occasions this week, the Fulton County Sheriff's Office said it confiscated multiple items at two of its facilities.
The contraband seized included cigarettes, suspected marijuana and even McDonald's cheeseburgers.
According to the sheriff's office, the most recent shakedown happened on June 5 at the Rice Street Jail after a sergeant noticed a breach in the perimeter fence. That's when authorities found a hole in an exterior window, which led officials to do a shakedown at one of the housing zones.
Here's what authorities said they found:
32 packs of cigarettes
5 bags of loose cigarettes (99 total)
8 packs of rolling paper
5 lighters
10 baggies of suspected marijuana (approx. 1 lb. total)
3 cell phone chargers
4 cell phones
1 digital scale
