LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Texas Tech Red Raiders continue to make history, not only playing for its first national championship, but signing ace NiJaree Canady to a new NIL contract, according to sources.
The standout-pitcher will be returning to Texas Tech on a new deal that sources say is in the seven-figure digits once again, expecting to be more than the $1-million deal she signed when transferring from Stanford.
Canady and Texas Tech clinched plenty of program firsts including both the Big 12 Conference regular and postseason titles on top of reaching the Women’s College World Series and the championship series.
Texas Tech faces off against Texas for the national title starting at 7 p.m. CT tonight at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
