Recent testing has resulted in another public health advisory due to elevated E. coli levels, this time for Swan Creek and its tributaries between Eastgate Road and the Maumee River.

The advisory is the most recent issued in response to sewer overflows, which are affecting the Delaware Creek and Swan Creek, along with its tributaries. Residents have been advised to avoid contact with the waters, including wading, swimming, and fishing.

The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department announced the Swan Creek advisory Friday afternoon just before 4 p.m. The Swan Creek flows through several parks which are affected by the advisory, including Swan Creek Metropark, Highland Park, Sterling Park, and Boeschenstein Park.
