FRISCO — The Super Bowl drought is at 29 seasons and counting.
It doesn’t matter how thirsty the Cowboys’ fan base is for a title or the front office and players’ abilities to move from one season to the next, there is a new man ready to deal with the drought with his own mixtures of winning: Brian Schottenheimer.
He’s embraced the drought. He’s embraced what the fan base wants. He’s embraced what team owner Jerry Jones seeks.
A Super Bowl title.
“I don’t get caught up in the drought,” he said. “This is one year. This is the first year of mine. I mean, I’ve been here a couple of years, but when the season is over, we move on. We do. We move on. So, 2024 is over, now it’s 2025. Are we going to win the Super Bowl this year? I hope. I think we are. If we don’t, you move on.”
