Boulder County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded Thursday to a report of an armed robbery and assault in Superior that spurred a SWAT response.

About 2:37 p.m., deputies responded to a report of those crimes against a person at the parking lot of the Safeway at 1601 Coalton Road, according to a news release. The incident reportedly involved one victim. The victim sustained injuries which are not believed to be life threatening, the release said.

Deputies responded to an apartment at 2300 S. Rock Creek Parkway, Building 30, in the Bell Flatirons apartment complex, as the suspect was believed to be barricaded inside a unit, the release said.
