CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Walmart announced it’s expanding its drone delivery service to five new major cities: Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston, Orlando, and Tampa.

That means millions more customers will soon be able to get items delivered to their doorstep in just minutes, thanks to flying drones.

The company has already completed over 150,000 drone deliveries since 2021.

Walmart is teaming up with drone company Wing, which already runs operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, to power this expansion. Their drones can fly up to 6 miles from the store and are operated under FAA safety guidelines.

Customers in the newly added cities can sign up to be notified when drone delivery becomes available near them by visiting here.
