CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has announced an officer with the Clarksville Police Department has been arrested in connection with a child abuse case.

The TBI reports that agents began an investigation into allegations of child abuse involving Officer Isaac Baretto on Thursday.

“During the course of the investigation, agents determined Baretto was responsible for the injuries that resulted in the hospitalization of his 5-month-old baby,” the TBI said.

Baretto was arrested and charged on Friday. He’s been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
