CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A Clarksville police officer accused of injuring his baby has been taken into custody for child abuse, authorities said.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, at the request of 19th Judicial District Attorney General Robert Nash, special agents started investigating allegations of child abuse involving 26-year-old Isaac Baretto on Thursday, June 5.
Over the course of the investigation, officials said they determined Baretto was responsible for the injuries that sent his 5-month-old child to the hospital.
The TBI said investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Baretto on Friday, June 6, charging him with one count of child abuse. He was reportedly booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
