AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Texas Tech University's softball pitcher signs another huge NIL deal with Texas Tech's NIL collective, the Matador Club, ensuring her return for another year.
In her second year with the Red Raiders, she will reportedly make at least $1.2 million, according to ON3 Sports.
Canady previously signed a 7-figure NIL deal ahead of this season, becoming the first ever in the sport. She finished the season leading the nation with a 0.97 ERA and recorded 317 strikeouts. She also led her team to the Women's College World Series for the first time in school history. Today, she looks to bring the championship title back to Lubbock in game 3 against Texas.
