FLOYD, N.Y. — One person was killed in a crash in the Town of Floyd, Oneida County, Friday morning, New York State Police announced.

Troopers were called to State Route 49 for a report of a single-vehicle crash around 10:30 p.m.

A preliminary investigation determined that the driver left the roadway, struck a tree and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release his name.

The crash is currently under investigation by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
