SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A defendant who is accused of hiding the body of a 5-year-old girl pleaded guilty to a weapons charge in a separate case on Thursday.
The Onondaga County District Attorney's Office said Corrice Parks pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. The court promised Parks a prison sentence in the range of 10 to 14 years.
On Oct. 11, 2024, Parks was arrested and charged with weapon and drug crimes after police found him with a handgun. A search of his vehicle turned up cocaine and fentanyl.
Parks is still set to go on trial regarding the death of Nefertiti Harris, who is the daughter of his ex-girlfriend Latasha Mott.
