AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP, MI – Lincoln Consolidated Schools will soon search for a new superintendent.
Bob Jansen, who’s been the district’s superintendent for the last five years, last month announced his intent to retire at the end of this school year.
In the message, which was sent to LCS community members May 20 , Jansen wrote the decision came “with mixed emotions,” having told the Lincoln School Board at a meeting the previous night.
Now, school board members are gearing up to find a replacement.
“We have hired MASB to guide us through the superintendent search,” Board President Jennifer LaBombarbe said late Thursday, referring to the Michigan Association of School Boards. The superintendent search was on the agenda for the board’s June 2 study session.
