An online fundraiser for the mother of the three girls allegedly killed by their father has surpassed $1 million.

The GoFundMe for Whitney Decker has more than 20,000 donations. It's the second time in Washington state a GoFundMe campaign has reached $1 million.

"The outpouring of love, generosity and support has been overwhelming. Not only here, in Wenatchee Valley, but from communities around the world," Mark Belton, a friend of Whitney Decker, said Thursday during a press conference. "We're deeply moved and profoundly grateful."

Belton added that the "compassion has been a source of light in his dark hour."
