LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A 17-year-old already charged in the death of Ali Naqvi is now facing a second murder charge, this time in connection to the disappearance of 15-year-old Aoun Basboos.

Lexington Police announced the additional charge on Friday, June 6. Although Basboos has not been located, investigators say they now presume him to be deceased.

Police say the new murder charge was filed after consultation with the FBI, the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, and the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, which determined there was enough probable cause to move forward.

The teen suspect has been held at a juvenile detention center since May 14.
