COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A teenager is facing charges amid an investigation into break-ins in Columbia.

The Columbia Police Department said Friday that a 15-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, was arrested and faces the following charges in Columbia:

Nine counts of auto breaking

Nine counts of criminal conspiracy

Eight counts of grand larceny/larceny

Four counts of possession of a stolen handgun

"CPD investigators believe the teen could be responsible for 150 auto break-ins across multiple jurisdictions in a multi-state crime spree," the department said in a statement Friday.
