OTTAWA COUNTY, MI -- Ottawa County has narrowed a list of candidates for the long-vacant county administrator job to three.

The finalists were announced Friday, June 6.

They are as follows:

Mark Eisenbarth, the current Muskegon County administrator. During his tenure, Muskegon County’s unassigned fund balance rose from 14% to 27%, and he helped secure more than $85 million in competitive grant funding—including collaborations with Ottawa County, according to a background synopsis from Ottawa County staff.

Glen Salyer, deputy county administrator for Lee County, Florida. There, he helps manage a 2,900-employee government with a $733 million operating budget, according to an Ottawa County fact sheet on Salyer. He led the creation of LeeCARES, a $134 million COVID relief initiative,
