Six New Orleans jail detainees allegedly stabbed another inmate on a third-floor pod Wednesday morning, leaving him with wounds to the head, neck and back, court records show.

The six inmates, who were all were rebooked, are Jermaine O. Jones, Alquan K. Johnson, Kenneth D. Saulsberry, Maurice Brant Jr., Jomar M. Walch and Kobin A. Wright.

Surveillance video of pod 3-B revealed six men running into cell 15 around 11:09 a.m., according to a police affidavit that supported an arrest warrant signed by magistrate commissioner Jonathan Friedman.

"You can clearly see the victim being stabbed and punched by six inmates ... with (an) unknown type of sharp object," the affidavit states.
