CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Clarksburg and much of North Central West Virginia will be shadowed by storm clouds over the next few days.
A series of storm systems could bring as much as 2.5 inches of rain to some areas, while the region overall is expected to get 1-1.5 inches.
"The weekend and going into early next week ... it is going to be pretty active. We'll have chances for storms each day," said National Weather Service Meteorologist Jennifer Berryman.
The first front will appear on Saturday and "sit over us," Berryman said.
This front will carry the potential for heavy rain and the chance for a few storms to become severe during that time. The high for Saturday will be about 80 degrees.
