HUNTERTOWN, Ind. (WPTA) - A special birthday party took place at the Huntertown Fire Department on Friday.

EMS crews with the Northwest Fire District responded to a call on June 6, 2024 - Cassie McKinley’s water broke when she was asleep, and there was no chance of making it to the hospital in time.

“The ambulance ended up getting there right in time, and we are so thankful, because his cord was wrapped around his neck, so we’re so thankful they got there and knew exactly what to do,” McKinley said.

That’s how baby Brooks came into the world. Now, one year later, the McKinley family was reunited with the first responders who changed their lives.
