METROPOLIS — State Rep. Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) is kicking off his annual Summer Reading Program for students who will be in first through fourth grade for the 2025-2026 school year. This year’s summer reading club theme is “Get in the Game.

Students in the 117th district students who read eight or more books this summer and complete required registration forms will be offered a free ticket for themselves and a parent or guardian to a Thrillville Thrillbillies baseball game for a special summer readers' “Night at the Ballpark” celebration.
