McQuaid has won 13 of its last 15 games heading into the Class AAA state tournament quarterfinal or regional round.

Niagara Falls, a first-time champion in the modern school's history, has scored a few runs this spring.

McQuaid is 3-0 in this round of the state tournament, with coach Tony Fuller.

All of the championship trophies were carried off. Pitching rotations are refreshed. The top hitters are gearing up to face No. 1 pitchers they have little, if any, familiarity with.

The high school baseball champions from the Rochester and Buffalo areas are ready to meet. Section V hosts regional games in Batavia's Dwyer Stadium, Geneva's McDonough Field and Innovative Field, home of the Rochester Red Wings.

In Class AAA, Section V champion McQuaid will take on Section VI's Niagara Falls.
