It’s almost time for the 38th annual Hartford Strawberry Festival.

The big event is set for next Friday and Saturday, and festival chair Patty Schroeder tells us there will be plenty happening.

“ Of course we always have our parades and we’ll have live music,” Schroeder said. “John Dudley the magician will be back again this year. We have a pie eating contest, carnival rides. This year new we have a street dance and of course all of our food and our craft vendors will be there.”

Schroeder says the parades are always a popular attraction.

“With a kiddie parade on Friday at 6 p.m. and it will be going down Main Street and end up at Ely Park. Then on Saturday, the big name event, the main parade will be at 12 and that comes down Main Street as well.”
