DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) -- Durham crews rescued an unconscious person from the top of a townhome construction site Friday afternoon, officials said.
The incident was reported around 3:35 p.m. as a "high-angle rescue" at a construction site at the intersection of Crescent and Cleora drives in southwest Durham, according to a Durham Fire Department news release.
A patient was atop a 3-story townhome under construction near the N.C. 54 and Interstate 40 interchange, officials said.
The Durham Fire Department responded with two ladder trucks and 26 firefighters, the news release said.
After about 30 minutes, the patient was on the ground and taken from the scene by Durham County EMS.
