NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The magic of CMA Fest is getting to be up close and personal with musicians, some small and some mega stars like Trisha Yearwood.
On Friday, one man got to take a photo with her after more than 30 years of waiting.
John Smith was at the county fair in Hopkinsville in 1991 when he ran out of film in his camera and wasn’t about to get his picture with Yearwood, but he was able to get her autograph.

Now, 34 years later, Smith was able to finally ask if he could get his picture with Yearwood, so she invited him on stage to get it done.
“I was telling people I’m going to jump up at the beginning of the whole thing before I even say anything, and I’m gonna say ‘Trisha, I’m going to take my pictu
