SNOW HILL, N.C. (WITN) - The new Greene Central High School is proof of the hard work and dedication going into providing students with a place to get a quality education, and after Friday’s ceremony, it’s one step closer to opening its doors.

The last structural beam for the new high school rises above the crowd gathered to watch the achievement unfold.

“This is where the last piece of structural steel is put in place. So we’re here to celebrate the work that began just a year ago,” says Greene County Schools superintendent Frank Creech.

The new high school will soon replace the current Greene Central High School, with the two now side by side.
