HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The city of Huntington is working on a plan to make downtown more accessible.
“We know and we’ve gotten a lot of feedback from residents and business owners that downtown parking is not easily available, especially street parking. It’s very competitive, during the weekends especially, so we want to try to increase that where we can and expand our parking footprint,” said Zane Parsley, Planning Director for the city of Huntington.
Amanda Viars is a manager at Inner Geek in Pullman Square. She thinks making downtown easier to park and walk through will help with businesses in the area.
“Anything to make downtown better is, you know, a win in my book ... It’ll help everyone around here, not just us,” Viars said.
She said she’s excited to possibly see less parall
