A woman is in custody after deputies found an elderly Topaz Ranch Estates man dead in a Kyle Drive home.

George Walker Sr., 83, was found beaten and stabbed multiple times 6:10 p.m. Monday.

“He was transported to the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office for a full autopsy,” the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported on Friday. “The Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be multiple blunt and sharp force trauma to the head and body. The death was ruled a homicide.”

Douglas County investigators identified Brenda Lyon, 70, as the primary suspect. She was arrested Friday and charged with open murder and elder abuse resulting in death.
